When my husband Corey and I were younger and thinking about having children, Dr. Dobson spoke about naming children. He said the meaning of names was important, and shared that he and Shirley had named their first child Danae because it seemed “rhyme- and bully-proof.” This stuck with us for years, and we considered this when naming our daughters. Of course, our older daughter, Noël, got sung to by various kids, but what a wonderful song to sing to someone about their name! Our younger daughter is named Jolie, which means “pretty” in French.
